Duromine (15 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg) Diet Pill Review

How Duromine Diet Pill works:

DUROMINE® diet pill (manufacturer & supplier contact information) is a prescription drug. That is, it has to be prescribed for you by your doctor.
Duromine pill is a drug primary used as an appetite suppressant, typically prescribed for individuals being at increased medical risk because of their weight.
Duromine diet pill, being a phentermine-based weight-loss pill, is a synthetic stimulant. Generally, Duromine pill is supposed to have the same effect as Phentermine acting on your Central Nervous System.
However, Duromine pill also contains Resin which is said to enable a slow release of phentermine ingredient, so that Duromine effect lasts all day.

Duromine Indications

DUROMINE is indicated as a short-term adjunct in a medically monitored comprehensive regimen of weight reduction based on exercise, diet (caloric restriction) and behaviour modification in obese patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30kg/m² or greater who have not achieved an adequate clinical response to an appropriate weight-reducing regimen alone.

DUROMINE may appropriately be initiated in overweight patients with a lower BMI when risk of morbidity from other medical conditions is increased. Patients with the following co-morbidities are particular candidates for medical assistance with weight reduction, and may be considered for treatment even if their BMI does not exceed 30 kg/m2:

  • sleep apnoea,
  • insulin-resistant diabetes mellitus,
  • pre-diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance in association with obesity,
  • high cardiovascular risk status as a consequence of obesity
Failure to achieve a weight reduction of 5% within a period of 12 weeks is an indication for discontinuation of treatment. Treatment may continue beyond this point provided continued monitoring of the patient occurs (for weight loss and medical conditions) and for as long as weight loss is maintained.

Secondary organic causes of obesity should be excluded by diagnosis before prescribing this agent.

Avoid using Duromine Diet Pill if:

You have any of the following medical conditions:
    • very high blood pressure.
    • high blood pressure in the lung.
    • problems with the valves in your heart.
    • disease related to blood vessels in the brain.
    • severe heart disease including changes in the rhythm or rate of the heart beat.
    • narrowing of the blood vessels due to thickening or hardening of the blood vessel wall.
    • overactive thyroid gland.
    • psychiatric illness including anorexia nervosa (loss of appetite) and depression.
    • glaucoma (high pressure in the eye).
  • You are currently taking, or have taken within the last 14 days, antidepressant medicines from the mono-amine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) class such as phenelzine (eg Nardil) or tranylcypromine (eg Parnate).
  • You are allergic to phentermine or to any of the other Duromine ingredients.
  • You have previously misused drugs or alcohol.
  • Usage date has expired.

Before you start using Duromine pill:

Tell your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines:
  • any medicines for weight reduction
  • any medicines for depression or obsessive compulsive disorder such as fluoxetine (eg Prozac, Erocap, Lovan, Zactin); sertraline (eg, Zoloft); paroxetine (eg Aropax); clomipramine (eg Anafranil, Placil).

  • have heart disease such as angina (chest pain)
  • have diabetes
  • have epilepsy.

Duromine Usage:

  • For adults and children over 12 years, the usual dose of Duromine is one capsule per day. However, your doctor will prescribe the right dose for you.
  • Take Duromine first thing in the morning, at breakfast time so that it does not keep you awake at night.
  • Swallow Duromine capsules with plenty of water. Do not chew or open the capsules.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions exactly and never change the dose yourself. Increasing the dose may not necessarily make you lose more weight or make you lose weight faster. However you will most likely experience more side effects. Your doctor will tell you how long you are to take Duromine for.
Duromine is not recommended for elderly patients or for children younger than twelve years.
While you are using Duromine
  • You should regularly visit your doctor for a medical check up.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you experience sudden or rapid weight loss, difficulty breathing, chest pain, fainting, swelling of the lower limbs and if you can not exercise as much as you usually can.
  • Be careful driving or operating machinery until you know how Duromine affects you.
  • DO NOT drink alcohol whilst taking Duromine.
  • Check with your doctor or pharmacist before you start to take any cough or cold medication.
If you forget to take your Duromine dose at breakfast take it no later than lunchtime. Alternatively, skip the dose you missed and take your next dose at the normal time on the next day. If you take Duromine any later than lunch-time you may have trouble sleeping at night. Never take a double dose to make up for a dose you have missed. If you have trouble remembering when to take your medicine, ask your pharmacist for some hints.

I have a box of Duromine pills sitting in front of me, percribed by my doctor. My new years resolution is to loose weight and I want to only use these pills as a kick start toward my lose weight program. What are your comments and what advice do you have on these pills. By the way I'm from New Zealand and I weigh 134kg's. To heavy!!!!

Anonymous said...

As long as you intend to use Duromine following your doctor's prescription. Then it is fine.
My advice is to focus on the long term resluts by changing your lifestyle and eating habits gradually and doing more exercise. Diet pills are for urgent and short term usage (as you said "a kick start") and must always be taken according to your doctor prescription (which you did).
I'm sure you'll succeed if you believe you can do it.( yes you can do it). So patience, patience and patience.
good luck dear :)

Hi, I have been taking Duromine 15mg for 2 and a half months and over the last few weeks I have found that my skin is breaking out and that nothing is healing properly. I developed a blister and it has been wet for 2 weeks, it doesn't scab over. is this to be expected.

Please inform your doctor who has prescribed Duromine for you.

Hi I have started taking duromine 30mg been on them now for only 9 days, i feel as they are not working all that well. I feel more tiered some times, an other times i cant sleep. I dont eat as much as i used to. Is this normal.?

Anonymous said...

As you know, Duromine is a prescription drug, an appetite suppressant that acts on your Central Nervous System.
The Duromine (15mg, 30mg or 40mg) side effects mentioned in the review above includes what you are feeling.

"normal" is sometimes a dangerous word to use in health issues without knowing all other factors. You should inform your doctor.

Im on my second day of duromine 30mg, and already i am seeing the symptoms that my doctor explained would happen (inscreased heart rate, dry mouth, a mild case of insomnia or an iability to sleep, shortness of breath, vomiting, diorhea), it concerns me to hear that people are out there taking a prescibed medicine without first consulting a doctor. Your doctor knows what strength is best suited for you, your size and your lifestyle. if your doctor says you dont need to take duromine, then dont. They are trained in ensuring your health and safety, so rather that assuming that you know everything there is to know, perhaps you should speak to your doctor. Think about your health above all else. Furthermore, if you are taking medicine that has not been prescibed to you, how can you ensure that you are actually taking duromine and not a dodgy repleca. be mindful of your health and safty and do not risk falling ill by bad choices.

Anonymous said...

I have been taking it for over a month now with no effects what so ever. 30mg. this is dangerous but I find that taking merida with it is the only time it takes effect. I also take the 37.5 mg phentermine and still no effect. My blood pressure has been fine so far too. any ideas?

Anonymous said...

Actually, you should contact your doctor whenever you feel not good while taking duromine pill. It is indeed a prescription pill, either 15mg, 30mg or 40mg capsules, and should be closely monitored by your doctor for any negative side effects, contraindication or how well it's suiting you.

HI..I have taken duromine for only 2 weeks before married, two month ago.it works..i lost 7kg in just 2 weeks.and that's it.i stop taking duromine.i am planning to pregnant as soon after married. but now, after 2 1/2 month the result still negative.from what i've heard, duromine not suitable for who planning to pregnant.and if so, i really need to know, until when and how long is the effect?please...help me.

Anonymous said...

hi,
Duromine is, anyway, a prescription drug, meaning it should closely be monitored by your own doctor. As mentioned in this Duromine review, among other,
you should consult your doctor if you:
- are pregnant or intending to become pregnant

I strongly advice you to discuss this issue with your doctor as pregnancy and diet pill(Duromine in this case) combination is an extremely sensitive and serious matter that only your own doctor can truly give a healthy answer to.

good luck!

i heard that u can increase a chance of stroke if you smoke while on duramine is this true?

Anonymous said...

hi Janet, you should see your own doctor. If duromine is the right solution for your case, I'm sure your doctor we'll prescribe it for you. Duromine is not for nothing a prescription drug, it is so, because it may harm your health seriously if not used following your own doctor's prescription and advice..
anyway, Duromine is not the only diet pill over there, some others are over-the-counter, so no prescription needed, such as alli...

all the best luck!

hmm.. on duromine and smoking. that is a smoking question for a good doctor :)
A general rule for any prescription drug (duromine or others) as stated by the FDA:

* Talk with your doctor and have a physical exam before you get any new medicine for the first time.

* Use ONLY medicine that has been prescribed by your doctor or another trusted professional who is licensed in the U.S. to write prescriptions for medicine.

* Ask your doctor if there are any special steps you need to take to fill your prescription.

i hope it helps :)

After putting on alot of weight (got up to 130kgs ) after injuring my leg 3 mths ago my doc put me on 30mg duromine.
After 4 weeks I have lost 11 kgs.
I follow a Jenny Craig diet and Im monitored at the gym daily for an hour doing rehab exercises.Apart from the dry mouth, inflamed gums, which I can handle, my heart races whilst exercising so bad that I am continuously trying to bring it down (gets up to 170bpm) my resting rate is 130. Pre duromine it was 110. Is this a real concern for me? I feel it is and are reluctant to tell doc as he only wants me on these pills for another two months, as he said they are too addictive.
so I've got another two months to really try to get as close to 100kgs as possible. I'm pretty busy person with four kids so I'm always on the go even with a strapped up leg. Maybe this is another side effect feeling too anxious. Any ideas on the heart rate issue would be appreciated as I feel quite faint after exercises even when Im doing everything else right (I even upped my calories thinking my body may need it).

I would like to try Duromine. I am currently exercising quite a bit and trying diets, but struggling to drop anything. Can you tell me what the effects are of taking it with Prozac. I am feeling really desparate and need to be a bridesmaid in 8 weeks. I weigh 96kgs and am only 164cm tall....

My flatmate is about 155cm tall and I think she is somewhere between 75-80kg and has been prescribed 15mg Duromine. The doctor did not do any tests on her and did not ask any questions when handing over the prescription. She is on anti-depressants which I do not know what they are called and she also smokes pot. I have told her that she should not be doing all 3 at once and has told me that she isn't but I have a feeling that she is. I am a Personal Trainer and have tried to encourage her to come for a walk with me and come down to the studio for a workout but she is not interested. What I am worried about is the mix of these drugs together. Mixing pot with Duromine I would assume are opposites and I do not want to come home to find her passed out on the floor or worse and for her to end up in hospital. Can you tell me what the effects would be on her body for mixing these together.

A general rule for any prescription durg (so Duromine 15mg, 30mg or 40mg..included) is to consult with your own doctor for any intake or combination with other drugs. please bear in mind that duromine is a drug that may seriously harm your health integrity if not taken as your own doctor prescribes and advises. don't be in a hurry and think of the side effects, over dosage, contraindications, health-harm ...that duromine may bring with.
a drug is a drug and as once said :

the duromine review above is a full one, and one of the most complete I ever read over duromine info. thanks folks.

If Duromine is discontinued in the UK. Just try to have your doctor prescribe for you another diet pill than Duromine or try other over-the-counter diet pills that are widely available online such as alli.

Duromine is an illegal drug in some countries. Somehow it is obtainable through black market. Be extra careful of the authenticity. I had (under a doctor supervision) used the drug for two months. Drastic result - lost almost ten kg. But suffered other side effect like dehydration. After the course, my weight increased rapidly regardless of diet food intake and regular exercise. My doctor suspect I lose water more than burnt fats while taking the drug. So after stopped, my body started to gain water back. That's what suppresent does - according to him.

The cramping only lasts until the nurofen i take kicked in. Is this normal. I recently had a miscarriage PRIOR to starting on Duromine and I'm trying to figure out if it's the duromine and what others' experience and solutions.

Both Duromine (Phentermine 15mg, 30mg or 40mg) and Prozac (and many other: Viagra, Xenical, Reductil (Sibutramine) and such) are prescription drugs, at least in US, any usage combination of these drugs must be supervised closely by your own doctor. I would not endanger my health taking prescription drugs without consulting my doctor to be sure of any effect or side effect.
Health then weight loss! just my experience!

hi, im micmac from philippines, i took duromine for four times, but i can't sleep well, is it normal? or i have to stop it? how can i see and feel its effect? pls. tell me if it is really effective. tnx.

hi micmac,
Having some trouble sleeping or feeling more awake than usual is a known Duromine (15mg, 30mg or 40mg) side effect.
You might check: Duromine side effects
Some other Duromine related FAQ
Anyway, you're supposed to be taking Duromine (15mg, 30mg or 40mg) following your doctor's prescription, so it's advisable to inform your doctor for any side effects while using Duromine.

You're already feeling some side effects, it means Duromine is "working", BUT don't forget to use this diet pill within a diet plan.

A friendly advice:
- Eat healthier,
- Be more active
and last but not least: Love yourself and Be patient towards your goal. You can do it too. Good luck :)

I have been taking duromine 40mg for about 10 months now (had various months off throughout this time)and have succesfully lost 30 kgs and still going, through alot of exercise and diet changes also. I was 120kgs and had tried everything with little or no effect on my weight until now! I suffered minor side effects probably the worst the dry mouth but that just makes me drink more water which is needed anyway for successful weight loss. I also still drink alcohol with no side effects. In my opinion this is my miracle drug and swear by it!!!!

I am currently on duromine and i have not been having any sleep for 3 days now and i took a sleeping pill to help. is that bad?

Anonymous said...

Not having any sleep for 3 days while on Duromie might be very bad for your health, please do inform your doctor as soon as possible and seek medical advice from him/her about combining sleeping pills and Duromine , as drug combinations might be harmful too. I would NOT lose my health while trying to lose weight!!!

hi,
it is not a question of legal or not, it is your health safety that you should protect. If you have to buy your prescription medicine online, then you have to be very very careful trusting websites selling drugs. Here are
some crucial safety guidelines from FDA that you should follow before buying prescription medicine online, please read it here.

I've taken Duromine in the past, and my experience has been that for the first 1-2 wks the side effects can be bad - light headed, headaches, breakouts in skin, dry mouth, tiredness, insomnia etc. Personally, I found that this improved after the first couple of weeks. Its not a long term drug, so after 3 months that's it (for 12 months). I lost 7kg in 3 weeks, and it was a great feeling, but unfortunately as soon as i went off it the weight gradually crept back on. the good thing about it is that it gives you a taste of what its like to lose weight - and have people notice. then you want to keep going.

good luck everyone!

Hi, I want to start taking Duromine but have second thoughts as I was brousing through the review. I bought a box but over the counter, not prescribed. I wanted to know if you can take Duromine with birth control pills. Greatly appreciate your comment on this.

I used Duromine a few years ago & did see results, so did everyone else. The thing is when yI did lose the weight it came off so rapidly I ended up looking abit sick. There are alot of side effects, headaches, chronic insomnia, dry mouth, moody and high energy to very weak. All in all it did work but only use as a last resort. I tried it about 4 more times over 6 years and didn' have the same effect as the first time.

I was about 70kg after I gave birth and wanted to lose weight fast so a very good friend of mine recommended me Duromine. My doctor prescribed 30mg for the first three months then 15mg afterwards. He told me the key to a successful weight loss is plenty of water before, during, after every meal and a healthy diet followed by a daily exercise regime.Eat your vegies followed by meat then carbs(if I'm not wrong)and once I reach my target weight,I should stop the medication and continue with the eat/rest/play-well-routine.

Pros:- Dramatic effect to the extend that all my friends thought I abused drugs(lol),
- Energetic.
- Ate less.

Cons:- Ulcers in mouth may develop if you neglect doubling your H2O intake.
- Mood swings just like when pms-ing.
- Excessive sweating.
- Constipation(I drink prune juice)

I'm 1.62m/54kg today.Just follow prescription, drink plenty of fluids, eat wisely and exercise regularly(walk more than usual if you are lazy like me)and a bit of meditation helps with the mood swings/sleeplessness.All the best.

I have been on duramine for 3 months and the results have been great. But, as you know it is short term and i have implimented better eating and exercise. The innsomnia was bad and my question is, how long after discontinuing use does this drug remain in your system, when will the symptoms dissappear?

Anonymous said...

Let me share my experience with you while on duromine. Since being on it, I have had a high sense of well-being and euphoria.

Before I started duromine,I used to be lazy, constantly hungry and munching on junk food, sleeping way too early and too long. I used to yawn all the time at work & felt too tired or bored to engage in any sort of conversation. I had occasional funny tingling on my hands and legs at night (restless leg syndrome?). I just felt I had no proper sense of direction in life and just wanted to eat and crumble in bed all day. I was also moody all the time and thinking negative thoughts. Lets just assume I was on the brink of depression. My weight reached a high of 55kg and this to me, didn't look great for my 5ft 1 frame...and I swear I looked so much shorter.

Then I discoverd duromine. I was getting more and more depressed with my weight, so I decided to give it a try. A friend gave me a 30mg capsule. At first I was skeptical. I had tried all sorts of diet pills including xenical and shakes and supplements (i must've spent over a thousand bucks!) but nothing worked. Then on my very 1st day of duramine, I had SUCH a high. I was chatty, perked up at work, felt a bit restless but that only made me do MORE work, and I became so productive that I finished this research project within 3 nights!!! On top of that, my cravings for junk food and snacks had gone. I felt so comfortably full throughout the day, though I managed to squeeze in a healthy lunch ( I could only pick on the veggies) and I drank lots o& lots of mineral water all day (duromine made me so thirsty) and this was cool for me as this made me avoid unhealthy drinks such as coffee !! I am NOT kidding ---> in the morning I was 54.5kg and by 6pm I was 52.5kg. 2 days later I dropped another 2kg. Oh yeah thats right I couldn't sleep at night but I was able to get my reports and teaching preparation ready in advance! Plus my mind was working well, and I came up with some great ideas for my report. I became such a cheerful person, and even when my hubby was mad at me for some silly things, I could only respond with a smile, as I cannot feel any form of anger in me.

When i did sleep, my eyes automaticaly opened at 430-5am, and i didn't need to throw my alarm clock any longer. I was so excited to start the day off and was (good gosh!) actually looking forward for work! I lost a bit more weight, currently i am 47-48kg, and not keen on going lower than that because I have achieved my lower end of my BMI (19). I'm actually back to my old eating habits and can eat more now, but the great thing is i am able to maintain it because duromine just makes you move more. SInce being on it, I just want to exercise constantly!

WHat i`m sharing is different from other ppl's responses i`ve come across with. Various friends who have been on it had some negative effects - notably severe migraines, depression and anxiety, hard of hearing/tinnitus, tingling, lisping and difficulty articulating words etc. I am so relieved I haven't experienced any of them....it's been 3 months since I started duromine, mind. The only thing I notice is my lack of liido....unfavourable to some but not to me!

I `m just sharing my own personal experience with duromine. With it, all my symptoms of tingling, tiredness and cravings were demolished!! It gave me such a feeling of wellbeing and I am no longer this emotional, depressed and lazy person. Duromine has been my miraculous cure for all the things I hated about myself initially.

Hi,
I have been using duromine 15mg prescrbed by my gyneacologist for 2 months almost. Results are exceptional. Don't have cravings for junk food. Reason for me having to go on this is that i have an extremely high of insulin in my body and have been battling to loose my weight even with healthy dit and exercise prior to visiting my doctor. Initial weight was 74kg. By my first visit, and i had loast 5.5kgs!!! Do't quite know what i weigh now, cos i don't weigh myself until i get to the doctor's rooms. Positively though i have lost at least 9 cm thus far. I feel and look great. Oh, and the i have never been more sexually aroused than ever before! Wow, even my husband is concerned with my increased sexual stimulation, i just cannot get enough!!!

hi,

i would just like to share a short testimony with you all.

before starting on Duromine, i was quite afraid of all the side effects, such as mental disturbances, acne breakouts, lethargy, insomnia, etc, because my friend had tried it before and lost a lot of weight, but suffered severe mental disturbances. according to her, she would dwell on minor issues, often take a paper and pen and write what's on her mind repeatedly, and hang on the brink of depression.

however, i decided to still go ahead with it as i really needed to lose the weight. it is now the end of my second day and i feel great!

there were absolutely no mental disturbances, and the fact that it stimulates your fight or flight mechanism is great, coz now my diet is healthier with the elimination of excessive amounts of caffeine every morning.

in addition, i'm more productive at work, since i dont feel hungry. and because i dont feel like eating much, i eat healthier, lighter meals, like grabbing a banana or some yoghurt, as opposed to fast food or processed food.

lastly, because i'm so hyped up and productive at work, i'm pretty much exhausted by the time i get home, and so there aren't any insomnia problems.

perhaps the only side effects i experience is a dry mouth, so i'm thirsty more often than usual. but i take it as a good thing, because it increases my water intake (i was often so busy at work i hardly drink any water) and we all know that lots of water is good for your health!

all in all, it's working great for me, although i havent noticed any weight loss yet (but then again it's only been 2 days).

my advice would be to give it a go, no matter how much people tell you how bad the side effects can be, because every person has his/her own body chemistry. if it really turns out to affect you badly, then stop. being healthy mentally and emotionally is worth much more than looking pretty.

but if you're lucky like me, then you'll enjoy the best of it :)

good luck!

I have been taking Duromine now for 9 months, I have had no adverse side effects and have lost a total of 25kg (55.12lbs). I am losing weight with the help of an endocrinologist who has prescribed me this along with Lovan which controls emotional eating . I feel fantastic and have been using these along with VLCD shakes. The results are awesome. All I can suggest is ..make sure you see your doctor and have him monitor your progress. It will take a few weeks for the medication to begin working in your system. Be patient and see the results. Best of Luck.

I've been on Duromine 40mg for 6 days now and it's the best thing i've ever had! I've had none of the side affects and no problems sleeping. I have more energy, but am not "speeding" or anything like that.

Duromine has helped my moods even out and i finally have concentration and motivation.

I have been watching what i eat and been eating healthy to start a good eating pattern, plus i have been exercising. The thing that it has done for me the most, is cut out my sugar cravings, and that has really helped me.

I was a bit scared that i'd somehow magickally put on a heap of weight when i stop, but I don't think that will happen seeing as i am eating healthy foods. I'm also going to increase my exercise when i stop taking it to counter any possible extra eating due to my appetite not being surpressed.

Overall, I think Duromine is fantastic!

Hi guys,
I've read each and every comment that you posted. I'm in South Africa, a black 28 year old female who grew up feeding on starch through all my life. Last week I went to my doctor who took blood sample for testing. I told him that I really struggle with my weight. He tested for everything, Glucose level, blood pressure, HIV, Cancer, everything. All of these tests were non-reactive. He put me on Duromine 30 mg. I started to use Duromine this morning after going to the gym. Currently I weigh 90kg and my normal weight is 60kg. This means I'm in excess of 30kg. He has agreed to put more on a 3 months treatment. I'm dedicated to lose weight. My groceries consist of fat free food, lots of fruits and veges and less starch and sugar. I pray to God to help me with consistent attendance in gym, healthy eating and continue using Duromine. Regarding the side effects, I feel a bit dizzy and dry mouth. I've taken Duromine at 06h45 in the morning and after 3 hours I already notice the above-mentioned side effects. It's okay, that is the risk I'm prepared to take. I am really determined to lose weight. I'll keep you posted of my progresse.

Hi, I started duromine about 2 weeks ago and in the first week i lost about 2 kgs but after that i havnt lost any weight at all. I had a dry mount and suffered with headches but the side effects are wearing off now but does that mean the effect of the drug is also wearing off and that's why i'm not losing weight anymore?

Hello I think I must be doing something wrong, I have been taking Duromine 30mg and 40mg and what I have experienced seems different to most. I took 30 days of 30mg and I have the headaches but I can live with that. For the first 5 - 7 days I felt great, I felt like I did 10 years ago (before the weight gain). I lost a total of 6.6 kgs, no heart racing, no trouble sleeping, i finally had some energy. But that was it. I then started to get cravings for chocolate, felt really hungry all the time and so tired I could not keep my eyes open. By the end of the 30 days i had put some weight back on and had only kept off a total of 5.4 kgs.
I spoke to the doctor who recommended I take the higher dose. We all this had done is given me cravings for anything and everything sweet, and kept me awake until 3 and 4 in the morning. No weight has come off at all.
I fell like such a freak these pills are supposed to stop you wanting to eat not give ou cravngs.

Is there anyone else out there that has found this or am I truly unique lol. Or can anyone suggest another pill that may work. I have done every diet more than once and to be honest I only started to put on weight when I started dieting.

Thanks for reading

Hi guys again! I posted my comment on the 15th October 2008 on my first day of taking Duromine. I lost 3.4 Kgs after 7 days and was looking forward to the second week. In these 7 days, I went to the gym for about 45 minutes each day. It felt good. Now, I'm in my second week and I feel down, a bit depressed, wanting to yell or even cry for no reason. The worst part of all is that I craved for food. The appetite seem to have been gone. What should I do besides going to the doctor for him to change my prescription? No appetite at all!

i've been taking 30mg duromine for 4 days. the first 2 days was totally okay and i was very energetic. i thought i was okay. but the side effects took place on the third day. it was bad. :( made me so worried and i feel like crying. i'm scared. my BMI is 29.7. not good i know. i wanted to lose weight. i have already lost 2 ks in 4 days and i experienced all these:-

1. dizziness
2. drops of blood in my urine
3. felt as if my head was tight
4. leg cramps while sleeping
5. faster heart beat rate
6. take big breaths often
7. mild shivering of hands
8. nausea
9. felt as if something was stuck at my throat

i decided to stop taking it. i'm not feeling very well.

is it because im not eating anything? i had one cup of milk and more than 2000ml of water on the first day. nothing else.
the third day i had quite alot for lunch. but my weight still decreased 1 kg on the fourth day.

i dont know. im not feeling very well and im stopping. those who didn't get the symptoms do not know how afraid they will be when they really did experience the side effects.

im going back to the doctor tmr. :(

Hey guys,

I thought I would tell my story of duromine.

I've been on duromine twice in my life - 1 year ago for the desired 3 monitored months with my doctor (going back at the end of each month, weighing myself, then getting the next months prescription), and now currently.

The first time around, I was on the 30mg tablets. I lost about 10kg in 3 months. I also was going to the gym every day for an hour in my lunchbreaks so this definitely helped with the weight loss. Of course, I maintained this weight loss afterwards by healthy eating.

If you take the duromine of course you're going to gain the weight once you stop taking the tablet if you go back to your old eating habits. Duromine isn't a miracle - you have to realise what you eat is what you are.

I am now back on the duromine due to an operation I had earlier this year made me inactive for 3 months recovering from it, so I gained 10kg again. This time I'm on the 40mg and it's all going great. It depends on each person separately but I don't have any trouble sleeping (I take the tablet about 6-7am in the morning and last night I couldn't stop yawning at about 10pm), I feel more energetic which encourages me to go harder at the gym.

This time around I have absolutely no hunger whilst last time I was still getting hunger pains. I am pushing myself to continually eat 3 meals a day as it's healthier in the long run than not eating at all, but it's a struggle as I have no desire to eat! All my cravings for sugary foods and sweets have vapourised.

I definitely recommend duromine for those people who need a kick start to their diet, but please remember it's not a lifetime change and each person must maintain their weight and weightloss for themselves and not expect a simple pill to 'fix them' for their entire lives.

Good luck everybody :)

i started using duromine pills on the 4th nov 08. I experienced the side effects the very 1st day. dry mouth and a bad taste in my mouth. on the 7th i had a headache that could not go away after even taking two types of good headache pills. this morning 10 nov i had stomach craps..the other side effects have gone expect the dry mouth and bad taste.I have lost 2 kg this week. i am hoping i will lose some more. my weight was 88.4 kg and now 86.5. i am comfortable with 70 kg. atleast my clothes can fit me then. i am wearing size 16 and i used to be a 10 or 12. Can anyone help me out with a diet plan and exercise program that works. I believe i can do this..i have to :-)

Anonymous said...

Hi everyone - I physically read through each and every one of your comments. The most important thing, before you decide which diet pill to start using, is to get your head sorted out. You have to be determined and know that you want this badly enough! Duromine gives you that "boost" to just dim your hunger. Now, I have been on Duromine 30 mg for 6 days now. I want to loose 15-20 kg.

I started on a very strict detox of 6 apples per day and water for 2 days to purify my system before starting my healthy eating. After that I just started eating healthy - tuna, fish, chicken (no red meat, no margarine, no milk,no sugars, no starch).
I really feel quite good because I eat healthy. I don't have the insomnia effect, I can however, not sleep late anymore over weekends. I still get a little hungry sometime, but its okay. Just hang in there! Just imagine how beautiful you will look in your bikini!!

As for gaining the weight again - just don't fall back into your old lifestyle again!! If you stick to eating healthy and moderate exercise then it will stay off - this is what happened to a friend of mine. She lost 42 kg's and is still loosing bit by bit, even off the tablets.

Anonymous said...

I think duromine is the perfect kick start, I have lost about 9kg in 8 weeks and only have 6kg more to lose to be at my healthy weight, only side effects have been thirst/ dry mouth and bad headaches for the first few days, I also find if I do eat to much i get severe stomach cramps. I think i will do another 4 weeks and then fingers crossed that the weight stays off!

i've been on duromine for a little over a month i wasn't aware of dramatic weight lose before going on it, but when it cam to weighing in a week after finishing the first month, i had oný lost 1kg, i was rather disspointed to read of such huge weight lose from others, i don't feel all perky when on them, i feel normal, but sweat more, and have had huge breakouts. i'm a week or so into my second script and feel different - it is an average of 30+ degrees where i live, and may be that is helping. i have been on a short bike ride for the last 2 days and have been coming back on the verge of throwing up, and this morning felt i had bad period pains. i havn't eaten much and am drinking tons. so why the 1 kg weight lose in a month with a bit of excerise? is it my body all screwed up.

Anonymous said...

Hi I've just taken my first 15mg capsule, really want to loose the weight so I will continue for the 1st month. I am also being monitored by my doctor cos my blood pressure is a little high. i'll report my symptoms and any weight loss next Saturday.

I gained weight after two months of giving birth and ever since i`v been struggling to lose it as i have to get back to work end of february, my friend visited me looking all so slim and ever so beautiful, she told me she`s been using duromine and they really helped her a lot.

She use to have a lot of achne problems and since using duromine her skin is so smooth and beautiful. i decided to get it and its been a month now that i`m taking them and the results are good.
i can fit into some of my old clothes now and the only side effects is lack of sleeping and dry skin and sometimes dry mouth but i can live with, i also have a lot of energy and i use to be very lazy, my sexual drive is also very high i cant seems to get enough and my husband likes it.

I kept the weight off for 2 years but started eating like a mad person again. So now I have to loose another 12kg's....If anyone wants the diet, let me know and I'll email it to you. i have been taking duromine 30mg for a month now and have been making healthy food choices, learning about nutrition and excersizing at the gym 4 times a week. my appetite is significantly reduced and i find i have to remind myself to eat during the day in order to keep my metabolism working. in spite of all this- i have only managed to loose approx. 5kgs. my dr seems to think this is ok- but im concerned; this result doesnt really seem to fit in with all the efforts ive been making! my dr prescribed me with the 40mg dose because of my concerns. im wondering though- on the pack it says that increasing the dose wont increase weight loss- merely increase side effects... is this the case?

Is this drug working on me, should i move to the 40mg, does the drug only make you lose weight because your not eating and is in wise to exercise profusly (tai bo advanced) in conjunction with the drug to achieve faster and better results? other concerns i have are that my body might loose its ability to loose weight without the assistance of a weight loss drug and how much should i be eating a day to keep my metabolism good and my self functional?! please enlighten me?!

I have duromine that was prescribed to me just before I found out I was Pregnant. I have not used the duromine yet, but unfortunately had a miscarriage. I want to loose a bit a weight before trying to conceive again. Will it be safe to use Duromine to loose weight if I want to fall pregnant, and will Duromine effect a near future pregnancy?

Hi. I took duramine 30mg for 4 weeks and only lost 3kg!! A bit disappointing, but I'm going to try it for another 4 weeks (and attempt to do some exercise too). Today is my first day of the second month. I've given myself a weeks break as I've had a number of side effects - horrible taste in mouth (yuk!), very very dry lips, sleeplessness, and a bit cranky in the afternoons. My initial weight was 123kg and I'm only 155cm!! If I don't loose weight with this kick start, I'm seriously considering surgery. Hopefully this month will do the trick!

does anyone know where I can reorder 30 mg of duromine?

Anonymous said...

I started using duromine about 8 years ago when I got my first son. I am about 152cm and I weighed about 47kg before pregnancy and weighed 70kg after pregnancy. Duromine helped me loose all the weight gained. I first had insomia and dry mouth but I increase my water intake and activity level. So to all those that can't sleep, the trick is to excesize more by the time you get to bed you very tired and you can sleep easy.

I am a 35 year old mother of two. Before my babies I used to weigh 50Kg. I am 1,54m tall. During my pregnancies I gained almost 40Kgs. I need to loose this in a hurry - I look hideous!!!!!!!! I I've tried everything and I just cannot do it without some "help" (duromine!) Can any one help me with a prescription? Pretoria South Africa.

Hi All,

I was given a box of Duromine 30g by a friend she has a 3 month prescription as was very overweight. I on the other hand only need to loose between 5 - 7kg she recommend i take 1 month prescription which i did, I lost probably about 2-3 kg nothing more.
Got very dry mouth which forced me to drink fluids which was something i didnt do to often. I now would like to know should i take another month or should i stop all together. I have the ocassional night of little sleep, nothing else.
Please advise

Unknown said...

I don't think you need to take them another month if you have such little to lose. Can you please tell me where you ordered your prescription. I am in the US and I can't find Duromine anywhere.

Thanks,
Debbie

Duromine is not a prescription drug for nothing. I would stop right now and be happy with those lost kilos without big harm.

Can I use Duromine diet pill without prescription? Are there big risks doing so to lose weight?

Anonymous said...

Duromine diet pill is a prescription drug, that means you don't know as much as your doctor does. So don't try using duromine unless it's prescribed for u. Dromine side effects might endanger your health integrity if it's not suitable for you. Good luck though.

HI, My Gp perscribed me Duromine 15mg. As I have high blood pressure he advised 1 capsule 3x a week. I have passed my 1st week and had no side effects, only found difficulty in sleeping the first 2 nights. There after no problem. I have lost 1kg in this week. I am impressed with this capsule as I have tried several others and the side effects is terrble. I need to loose another 10kg and will be happy.

Hi,my doctor recommended Duromine to me as I was about 20kg overweight for my height. I had managed to lose around 5kg myself, but as I am going overseas soon and wanted to still be able to eat some nice French food, I needed to lose weight a bit more quickly!
I am on 30mg tablets and for the first week, no major dramas with side effects, just very dry mouth. I did still get hungry (though I am on Sandomigran tablets for my migraines, and they are an appetite stimulant - part of the original weight gain problem)and certainly didn't have the boundless energy some people seem to get from these tablets.
The 2nd week I really started to notice feeling a bit dizzy, vague and forever seemed to have a buildup of a mucous lump in the back of my throat - sorry to be so gross, but wondered if anyone else has had this problem?
Then I got my period and felt very unwell, so stopped taking the tablets for almost a week.
I have been back to the doctor this week, and as I have 14 tablets left, am going to try one week one, one week off, until they are finished. At this stage I have lost about 4 kilos in the 3 weeks since I started taking Duromine. I am quite happy with this progress as I don't want to put it all back on when I cease the tablets. I am eating 3 small and healthy meals per day, and trying to exercise around 5 hours per week.
Anyway, that is my story so far.

how much is that duromin cost?

I bought mine at a discount chemist in Tasmania, Australia for $92 but they are normally around $130. Plus I may be able to claim back up to $50 through my private health fund. So not so bad.

I had awesome results from duromine in my first month, but it's stopped working now. I haven't lost a single kilogram in the last 3 weeks and I'm not eating anymore. What must I do??

Anonymous said...

YOU ALL DO NOT REALIZE THAT Duromine IS AN AMPHETAMINE.

All the side effects you're complaing about is in direct correlation to the fact that Duromine is indeed an amphetamine similar to meth(amphetamine)

So, stop complaining about side effects, peoople pay good money to feel like that! (just kidding), but if you DO not like the effects then DONT take it and excercise, and diet yourself! You cand have it both ways, there is no MAGIC pill

I am 24, 167cm tall and i currently weigh 81kgs. I approached my doctor about Duromine as i wanted something to help me in my weightloss efforts. I currently, and have always exercised 2-3 times a week.

I have now been taking Duramine 30 for 4 days. On the first day I only experienced a lack of appetite and broken sleep. The second day i felt quite euphoric during the day...which was followed by an emotional low in the evening so I had a good cry to my boyfriend (who is not to keen on me taking the pills and says im gorgeous as I am - but I am doing this for myself, no one else). Day three was again a good day with minimal side effects. I have found i generally cannot get to sleep until around 1am (im usually asleep by 10.30) and i have incredible urges to get up and work out...so i do around midnight. I find once i've worked out for 30 mins im ready for bed.

Today, however, has been a different story. I have been spaced out, shaking, anxious & have terrible pains in my stomach...its not at all fun! Im trying to eat in order to keep my levels balanced, though its hard when the thought of food makes me nautious!

Over the past four days i've managed to eat 1 salad sandwhich (in two sittings), 200gms of shaved ham (in 50gm portions), 1 peice of toast, 2 peices of fruit and a carrot, along with a handfull of sweet lollies since i've started. Along with averaging about 3 litres of water a day - im always so thirsty!

I have been told that this is all quite normal and that im heading into the worst of it...im glad tomorrow is the weekend and I can stay home and suffer...rather than at work!

I am hoping that with exercise, a decent diet and the aid of Duromine I will be able to reach my goal weight which is 65kg. I am already a happy person and I have a great life...I just want to be hot as well!!!

If anyone has any hints or tips in how i can make the most of my weightloss journey I would appreciate your feedback.

Good luck to all the other budding skinny minis out there!

hi just wanted to let you know my experience with duromine. In 2002 I started taking duromine 40ml for a few months I went from 109kgs down to 78kgs at my lowest and stayed around 80-85kgs for years. I had side effects like loss of memory and heart pulpitations but I didn't see my doctor once I got my medication. The best thing is the dry mouth you will drink alot of water and this helps your weight loss plus you have more energy and you dont feel like eating but you must at least with your medication.
I recently put on alot more weight this year 2009 at 111kgs. I went to the doctor and he put me on 30ml. I have side effects of goose bumps (adrinelin) and I started to get headaches please if you have headaches see your doctor you might have gotten high blood pressure from the medication.I am doing this with my doctor and he is checking me every week for my blood pressure and effects. I have lost 3kgs in 2 days and I plan on loosing the rest til I get back to 80kgs. I do not take this on an empty stomach as the effects are awful, if you have, EAT SOMETHING and TAKE A GLASS OF MILK it seems to stop the effects.

Started in 2002 girl here again, Just thought I would share I am 34 and 171cm tall and started at 111kgs now I am 105kgs at the moment and still loosing weight. With my duromine. All I can say is I know it works because I have done it before. The effects can be sometimes awful but think of it this way wouldn't you rather have some effects for a little while and loose lots of weight and be healthy for years. I want to be able to wear what I like and not feel slugish and be able to do activities, your weight stops you it robs you of a much better life. I know I am a size 20 now but only in a few months I will be a size 12-14 and I am happy with that. Duromine does work but I advise to do it with your doctor not on your own. I had the 40 ml back in 2002 and I didn't eat when I took it and I believe I did get memory loss from it. Now though I am not on the highest dose 30ml but still loosing the same amount of weight, without the heart pounding like on the 40ml. I am not radically exercising yet until I get down to the 95-99kg all I can say is drink the water put weightwatchers coridal in it if you hate water and try and sweat with your activities. All your weight you loose has to go somewhere either down the toliet(from all the water it flushes the the fat out of you) and sweating. I have been in a size 12-14 in 2002 it felt great. Now a new journey come join me...

2002 girl here again. Down to 104kgs today. You should feel like you need to eat a little it wont stop you from eating. I know going to the shops I look down the grocery aisles and I don't want tim tams or chocolate thats what the duromine makes me feel.
This is my normal day
breakfast a bowl of uncle tobys honey buzz oats with smart white milk and my tablet after.(this should make you feel full, without to many calories)

Lunch I don't eat too much usually a banana and mizone bottles full of water with weightwatchers cordial which i have up to three of these a day.
Dinner I have the same as the family but not as much. I make sure I leave something on the plate when i have finished too. But honestly I still have bad days when you want to eat something you shouldn't but when you buy it and eat it you dont really want all of it and most of it gets waisted. . Choose healthy foods and treat yourself once a week if you have to but drink that water.
I went to the doctor again yesterday I have headaches still but he checked me out and gave me some headache pills. I have had a bit of constipation but not to bad now.
I will be here every couple of days you can see my progress.
YOUR SPENDING ALOT ON THESE PILLS work with it and always see your doctor while you are on these drugs. You can continue with me on my journey here.....

They should say ''i pilled the weight back on after stopping duromine cause i got lazy and ate like a pig again!!!! How can you put weight back on if you eat healthly and excercise? Ive lost 3kgs in a week i have made my food portions alot smaller then what they used to be and excercise two times a day on the treadmill..Im 82kg i want to get to 70kgs again like i was before i had my second baby..Good luck everyone!!

I started Duromine 2 days ago and ive lost 1.5kg. I still eat healthy.Lots of protein and veg. No carbs for first two weeks. Then I will gradually re introduce carbs. My problem was my APPETITE and Duromine has solved that instantly. I have high energy levels and feel good. Just hope the side effects wont start. (Must say it keeps you awake). Will keep you posted. I think as long as you keep your body healthy by eating the right food combined with Duromine, all should be ok. Veggies, Vitamins, Water should be included in your diet. And excersise. It just makes sense! Charlene-South Africa

Hi have been using Duromine 40g for 6 days now and are feeling great today. I am a 35 year old male.think i weigh about 90kg and 178 cm tall, hopeing to get down to 70kg there abouts. Has been a hard road as have had shocking side effect this time around. Serious head aches the normal dry mouth and lust for water, trouble sleeping(take the pill early it helps, tingling feet and hands sometimes, dry lips and the constant need to pee.. As a male i have this time had no sex drive and problems maintaining an erection, basically just not interested i guess, never happened to me before hav high sex drive so this is bit of a downer.Have used Duromine before so knew that most of the symtems would pass and they did. Still have slight headache but can live with that. Have noticed that i have lost weight which is great still have to weigh myself to see. To everyone who has doubts about this product, just hang in there a hard few days is worth the results. An earlier post mentioned taking milk with pill,i found a food supplement shake and then the pill works great and noticed less sideeffect that day. Good luck and pleas respond to my post

Can I buy Duromine without prescription online? and what are Duromine prices?
I've heard that buying Duromine online without prescription is a risky matter!! any advise!

Anonymous said...

Buying Duromine online without prescription is not a risky business just because you gonna buy it online, but the answer is in your question itself: because Duromine is a prescription drug, so, by definition, it can't be used without you being advised by your own doctor and having Duromine pill prescribed for you. Duromine as every other drug becomes too dangerous if used by people who are not supposed to.

Before I go out of proportion I started the 30mg a week ago with no luck. Please forward your diet maybe it will work for me. Thanks so much.

I started Duromine 40mg last week and have been on it for 8 days now and last time I weighed in was Monday and i had lost 2.5kg. I am still eating breakfast (1 piece of toast or a banana) and lunch (a small salad wrap or small salad with tuna) and dinner I have what the rest of the family is having but I make sure if its a pasta dish or potato that I only have 1/2 cup of the carbs! And my entire dinner fits on a child size plate. I am drinking nothing but water and easily drinking more than 2L a day. I also go to the gym for 1/2 hr every morning and then go for a 1/2 hr walk every night. Should I be losing more than the 2.5kg that I lost in the first week?

Its been 10hrs since I took my first duromine pill and no side effects so far!!! I'm a size 24 at the moment but I'd dearly love to wear size 10 - 12 clothing. I've bought lots of clothes ova the last 6 months but once I get them home theyr'e way too small, so my goal is to be able to wear them AND wear them well. My husband and I live in different parts of the country at the moment (he was obsessed with my mate who was both smaller and better looking). I know that if I lost weight I could look just as good - if not better!!!! Thats when I'll turn to him and say "eat your heart out, loser"!!

I got prescribed Duromine from my doctor, as a freind had recommended it. I got it, as a boost to my weight loss before I got married. I did find that it was harder to get to sleep some nights, and then I was so tired the next day due to this. After my wedding I stopped taking Duromine, and as I was coming off the drug, I felt absolutely terrible, especially in the mornings when trying to wake up. I must admit, duromine does work, I saw and felt the weight loss within a month.

Hi, I started Duromine beginning September weighing 140KG!! I felt like a tank, high BP, moody, unfit and so uncomfortable. It is now 4 mths later and I am down to 117kg - still a long way to go to 70kg. But I love Duromine, I have no side effects except dry mouth and I chew chewing gum for that. Duromine took away my continuous cravings, I fed my face the whole day long. I do feel that it is not just as easy as taking the pill and voila, the weight is gone - I have to conciously "work" with the pill - like making sure what I eat is balanced and healthy and making the correct choices. But I enjoy the healthy food and the strangest thing is I do not miss or long for all the fatty and sweet things I use to eat all day long. I can walk past the most wonderful treats and my mouth does not water! In my opinion Duromine helped me become a new person, I feel good, I eat good and I am loosing weight and gaining confidence. I would like to take it for the rest of my life if I can negotiate with my doctor, for I have gained much needed improvements in my health. I have lost in excess of 40kg 3x before and gained it, plus more, back again, so I know how easy it is to be led astray by your cravings and to pile the fat on again. Duromine rocks!!

im on duromine (30s) at the moment, and i do find that it makes my moods very erratic, i get annoyed VERY easily and will get hysterical over minor things. i know it is the duromine, as when i stopped taking it for a brief time, i went back to my rational self. but just a warning out there to people as to what it can do. it broke up my relationship with my partner because my moods were too erratic. and he was a tool. but mainly erratic moods. but also on the plus side, i have lost almost 20kgs on them so far, i still have a while to go, but i wouldnt have been able to do it. my only problem is that i have hit a wall where i am not loosing anymore and its driving me insane!!

Hi,
Most Duromine (15mg, 30mg or 40mg) side effects and cases where you should avoid Duromine are clearly stated above in this Duromine review. It's already mentioned above (among others) that you MUST tell your doctor if you are pregnant or intending to become pregnant and you want to use Duromine diet pill at the same time. In this review, it is enough stressed that Duromine is a prescription drug!!!!!.Consult with your doctor if you see any of Duromine Duromine side effects mentioned above.
Any diet pill (including Duromine, alli, Trimpsa, Reductil..and many others) now on the market is only a temporary solution to your weight problems, and NONE of them come without (serious) side effects (sometimes more than you may imagine!) so I always advise to lose weight progressively because you've gained it up in a progressive way, in addition to a healthier life style and reasonable physical activity. Another advise, if you are not that overweight and you are healthy, don't kill yourself trying to match the stereotypes of those skinny girls on those fake beauty reviews. be happy, accept and love your body. enjoy your life! all the best:)

Anonymous said...

Duromine is a Phentemine drug anyway. Generally Phentermine drugs are for short-term usage(usually interpreted as 'up to 12 weeks' then it might lose its effect!)

Concerning skin rashes, this is a known Duromine side effect as mentioned in this Duromine review above (among so many Duromine side effects). You should inform your doctor or pharmacist to physically judge the seriousness of such side effect in your case.

Best wishes.

I used Duromine 15's when I was about 15 years old and 10 kilos overweight.. it worked like a treat, I managed my food and exercised lots. I overcame the side effects by taking it every second day and taking the pill at 5am (and then going back to sleep!) it helped with the sleepless nights by taking it earlier in the morning..
Now I am in Australia and wanting to go back on it- after successfully keeping the weight off for 15 years I have slowly crept back up in my weight and now need to lose 10 kg's again.. if anyone can email me a website or contact where they bought theirs from that would be a great help.

I would like to know if there is any possible way how you can get 30mg Duromine without a prescription? I'm a girl of 26 and get the WORSE gravings when it's that time of the month, and like to use the pills for that period... I have used it before and have no side effects what so ever.
It's just a slept to go and see the doctor everytime to prescribe me a pack and explain why I need it if my BMI is fine. My BMI won't be fine if I have those gravings every month and pick up 3kg a month... So the doctor consultation costs and explanation everytime is really a frustration. Do have any advise as to how I can get a prescription/duromine without this much effort. Thank you, Marlize

My friend in Malaysia has been taking Duromine for some time with good results. Her urine sample in a police check in Malaysia tested positive for amphetamines (or Syabu (Meth)in the local parlance). I know she has never taken amphetamines/syabu and the only prescription medication she takes is Duromine. Could this result in a positive result in the urine test?

Hi everybody

I have heard alot about Duromine 30mg and after doing alot of research for a few weeks, I decided to call my doctor of 10 years, who has my medical records. I spoke to him about Duromine and he suggested that I visit him to have a full physical done. After visiting him,all was well and he prescribed the Duromine 30mg. I have now been taking it for 3 weeks and have been walking, excersise and having at least 3 litres of water a day.I have still not lost a stitch of weight, I am so surprised at this,as I have read so many sucess stories and that was the reason I decided to give Duromine a try. It seemed that it only didn't work for one out of a million people and I just can't believe that it had to be me. I am really demotivated and I don't know what to do at this stage as this also costs alot of money. Is there a possibility that the drug may kick in soon? Should I continue and wait for results. However, I have experienced a few side effects but nothing severe, I'm actually wondering if my pack of Duromine may be a generic.

Awaiting your urgent response
Thank you
Aries

I NEED SOME HELP.. i ordered duromine online but could only get phentermine 37.5mg, i have been on this for 4 days and have had no weight loss. the first days i had dry mouth, felt light heaaded and a little shakey. By the 3rd day i no longer have dry mouth or the shakes but instead am really really tired by lunch time. If i only take half a tablet i end up really hungry. Can anyone tell me if they have had the same? Will i lose weight if haven't lost any already??
Thanks, Stacy Aus

Hi All,

I am pleased to say that I was very sceptical about Duromine at first. I decided to try it anyway on the 19.09.2010. I hit the scale yesterday and could not believe that I lost 10kg's in one month! Yes, that's true, 10kgs.
I ate Kellocks Special Kay every monring, fruit during the day and veggies/chicken/ fish for dinner. I also drank lots of water and soda water as well. Charles

I have been usinge Duromine 15mg for 18 days now. Starting weight 71.7kg (1.6m short), normal weight 55kg. I picked up weight during and after 3 pregnancies and even while breastfeeding. I weaned my 10 month old to start Duromine as I am desperate to look and feel better. I excersized while breastfeeding and still picked up weight. I hoped duromine will help me quickly, but it seems like my body is resistant to weightloss. I have been excersising VERY hard, 5 hours a week (as allways, I am fit). And been eating very small protions of healthy unrefined foods, no sugar, low fat and low gi.
I lost 3,5kg in 2 weeks, but picked up 700g the past 2 days. I did not do anything different, but had my period yesterday.
I have side effects, anxiety, feeling tired and cannot concentrate, forgetful, dry mouth and sleep less. I can cope with these as long as I loose weight.
Why don't I loose as quickly as other users?
Should I take higher dosage?
I feel like my body is failing me, I am very desperate to loose weight.
Please advise!

First day of taking duromine 30gm today, took half at 6.30 this morning, and the other half at 10am. felt sleepy at first, after the first half. Then started feeling the dry mouth symptoms fairly fast after the second. Drinking plenty of water to overcome this. Which means going to toilet x10 more often. Had a banana for brekky, a few pieces of bread, and have just had dinner. yoghurt, grapes, strawberries, bananas and shaved walnuts. So still have appetite, but not as bad as I usually would. No other symptoms felt yet...tho its now 16.45, and feeling a bit lethargic, but will have a nap soon

Ok so I started taking Duromine 30mg a week ago and am only taking it every 2nd day just to get my body used to it slowly. So far I've had a few side effects ie: headaches, dry mouth & inability to sleep. The sleep thing being very annoying because I thoroughly enjoy my sleep and think that's what's causing my headaches. I notice on the days I take the tab (@ 6h30) I'm not as hungry as usual and not craving junk all day long. I can't wait for this week to be up so I can begin taking it everyday to gain the full effect. I've got 20kgs to lose and am only prepared to take them for the 3 months as prescribed by my dr. I just hope and pray that I manage to lose at least half of my weight within this time frame and the balance through hopefully eating better and maintaining my excercise. Please can anyone and everyone taking Duromine post their comments here for us all to see. Its so good to read everone elses story. Good luck to all and hold thumbs for me :)
