Duromine

Duromine (15 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg) Diet Pill Review

How Duromine Diet Pill works:

DUROMINE® diet pill (manufacturer & supplier contact information) is a prescription drug. That is, it has to be prescribed for you by your doctor.
Duromine pill is a drug primary used as an appetite suppressant, typically prescribed for individuals being at increased medical risk because of their weight.
Duromine diet pill, being a phentermine-based weight-loss pill, is a synthetic stimulant. Generally, Duromine pill is supposed to have the same effect as Phentermine acting on your Central Nervous System.
However, Duromine pill also contains Resin which is said to enable a slow release of phentermine ingredient, so that Duromine effect lasts all day.

Duromine Indications

DUROMINE is indicated as a short-term adjunct in a medically monitored comprehensive regimen of weight reduction based on exercise, diet (caloric restriction) and behaviour modification in obese patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30kg/m² or greater who have not achieved an adequate clinical response to an appropriate weight-reducing regimen alone.

DUROMINE may appropriately be initiated in overweight patients with a lower BMI when risk of morbidity from other medical conditions is increased. Patients with the following co-morbidities are particular candidates for medical assistance with weight reduction, and may be considered for treatment even if their BMI does not exceed 30 kg/m2:

  • sleep apnoea,
  • insulin-resistant diabetes mellitus,
  • pre-diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance in association with obesity,
  • high cardiovascular risk status as a consequence of obesity
Failure to achieve a weight reduction of 5% within a period of 12 weeks is an indication for discontinuation of treatment. Treatment may continue beyond this point provided continued monitoring of the patient occurs (for weight loss and medical conditions) and for as long as weight loss is maintained.

Secondary organic causes of obesity should be excluded by diagnosis before prescribing this agent.

Avoid using Duromine Diet Pill if:

You have any of the following medical conditions:
    • very high blood pressure.
    • high blood pressure in the lung.
    • problems with the valves in your heart.
    • disease related to blood vessels in the brain.
    • severe heart disease including changes in the rhythm or rate of the heart beat.
    • narrowing of the blood vessels due to thickening or hardening of the blood vessel wall.
    • overactive thyroid gland.
    • psychiatric illness including anorexia nervosa (loss of appetite) and depression.
    • glaucoma (high pressure in the eye).
  • You are currently taking, or have taken within the last 14 days, antidepressant medicines from the mono-amine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) class such as phenelzine (eg Nardil) or tranylcypromine (eg Parnate).
  • You are allergic to phentermine or to any of the other Duromine ingredients.
  • You have previously misused drugs or alcohol.
  • Usage date has expired.

Before you start using Duromine pill:

Duromine Usage:

  • For adults and children over 12 years, the usual dose of Duromine is one capsule per day. However, your doctor will prescribe the right dose for you.
  • Take Duromine first thing in the morning, at breakfast time so that it does not keep you awake at night.
  • Swallow Duromine capsules with plenty of water. Do not chew or open the capsules.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions exactly and never change the dose yourself. Increasing the dose may not necessarily make you lose more weight or make you lose weight faster. However you will most likely experience more side effects. Your doctor will tell you how long you are to take Duromine for.
Duromine is not recommended for elderly patients or for children younger than twelve years.
While you are using Duromine
  • You should regularly visit your doctor for a medical check up.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you experience sudden or rapid weight loss, difficulty breathing, chest pain, fainting, swelling of the lower limbs and if you can not exercise as much as you usually can.
  • Be careful driving or operating machinery until you know how Duromine affects you.
  • DO NOT drink alcohol whilst taking Duromine.
  • Check with your doctor or pharmacist before you start to take any cough or cold medication.
If you forget to take your Duromine dose at breakfast take it no later than lunchtime. Alternatively, skip the dose you missed and take your next dose at the normal time on the next day. If you take Duromine any later than lunch-time you may have trouble sleeping at night. Never take a double dose to make up for a dose you have missed. If you have trouble remembering when to take your medicine, ask your pharmacist for some hints.

Hello to all, I am 40 yrs old, a father of three, and work in a construction company, I have been taking 30mg duromine now for 6wks and have lost just over 9kgs, i have had a lot of problems with my weight over the last 10yrs, my weight has had a lot of effect emotionally, physically i have tryed weight loss programs and exercise, and still felt i needed something else, i have had no side effects and feel better about myself now than ever before with my weight, but know that this(duromine)can only be a spring board to help me achieve my goal, thank u.

I've been taking duromine for 6 weeks now and have lost 7kgs in 6 weeks which I'm very happy with. First month I was on 30mg and now 40mg. I've designed a 1200cal diet that I can also continue once I come off the drug but find that I keep forgetting to eat the snacks and I'm fine with that. My starting weight was 115kgs for 170cm height.

The problem is I think I'm addicted to the drug now. In the mornings I feel restless, agitated and I have the shakes. Half an hour after I take the pill I feel perfect. I'm having trouble sleeping at night and I've got very dark circle under my eyes now. Yesterday I dropped back to a 30mg in the hope that I could sleep better but found myself constantly looking for food and gave in a couple of times but probably only just reached my 1200cal limit. I felt extremely lethargic and wanted to sleep all day going to bed at 6pm but couldn't fall asleep. I felt very tired and weak.

I know I'm experiencing expected side effects and I want to continue taking the drug because its still working for me but I would like to know how addiction is going to affect me later when I do actually come of it. I don't want to tell my doctor because I'm scared he might advise me to stop taking them.

I have had a terrible effects of this drug. I'm 178cm and 102kgs. I took it once a day for five days, it did what it said on the tin! I was wide awake, lots of energy and ate barely anything! By the third day I sarted to get the shakes and feel a bit funny. That night I was painting and looked at the clock, before I knew i it was 3am! I didn't even realize. I got 2 hours sleep that night, then I had to take the pill again on the fourth day to wake me up for work, that day I ate cereal and then nothing until diner becuase I forgot about food. I again could not get sleep until 1am and then woke up at 4am, wide awake! My mind was racing with things I have to do, things for tomorrow, next month, next year. I feel down and depressed! I considered that my life had nothing in it, I've neer been that low before. The next day I collapsed at work, my body was so tired that it couldn't stay up, yet my mind was still going. That night I couldn't move off my bed, my friend looked after me but I was shaking, cold and hot, eveytime I stood up I nearly fainted, I couldn't sleep unti 4am and woke up at 7am and I didn't take another tablet that day. Then I didn't get sleep until 6.30am the following morning!!! At which point my friend gave me a half a xanex to get me to sleep. As soon as it hit me, I couldn't stand, my body was shutting down and within 30 sec onds I was out for 15 hours, I woke up for a few hours ate someting and slept another 10 hours. I'm now awake but tired and still feeling like I'm ging to faint. This was on 30mg. I think this drug is bad! You should not take one a day! One every three at least. I was so scared on it! I want to take it again but not sure I should. After feeling massive depression, anxiety, insomnia, shakes, faint and dry mouth I cant see why it should be sold! If you've ever taken proper drugs then this stuff feels like that! And having a come down at the same time.
I'll weigh myself today and see how I did. But since I've been off it I have craved more food than usual. Just be careful and listen to your body.

I took duromine 15 mg over 6 months. i had 3 months worth prescribed to me from my doctor. i only took them every 2nd day. although i did not follow directions for use as they are supposed to be taken every day, i lost alot of weight. to star with i was 80kg and after 6 months i was 54 this is a total weight loss of 26kg. i do not reccomend taking duromine if you have any mental illnes. i manipulated myself to eat only salads, vegetables and sometimes meat depending on how it was cooked. i would not go near any fat, oils carbs or suggar other than salted penuts, they were my treat and they were amazing. i worked as a waitress in a busy hotel and was running off my feet for at least 5 hours of a 8 hour shift. after this i would exercise 2 times a day and push myself so much. i have never felt so amazing before. i was full of energy and could do anything. i felt off my face on spped half the time but i was overly happy. even though my story sounds like ihe drug worked wonders for me, i had a servere come down. i didnt start gaining weight because i stoped taking the drug although it messed with my happiness and well being. i continued to exercise and it felt good. i dont think anyone should take this drug unless you have health issues. excercise and diet is so much better it really empowers you, alot more than depending on a weight loss drug. excercise and diet right and you will be happy :)

Hi, I have a bunch of 30's Duromine, I haven't taken any since 2007, but i easily have 30 tabs left, although it is expired. Does anyone know if there are side effects or really any "problems" in taking the expired drugs? I really want to get back into it, but there is no way I can afford the ridiculous price they charge for it!

Anonymous said...

Duromine is a prescription drug, a real drug. NEVER use expired drugs. First comes health, then losing weight.

Nothing ventured nothing gained, i have just started taking Duromine, and have no problems mentally about taking them, as i will know in a
few weeks or maybe less whether Duromine will help my weight problem, if not drop it and pursue another avenue.
